Sujatam Premium, while inception was know as Sujatam Lifestyle and was conceptualised to make the handloom and handcrafted fashion into commoners daily life. A rich heritage of Handloom of Banaras and Bengal, and handcrafts of Bengal and Uttar Pradesh are the prime focus area of Sujatam with the Philosophy of Customers First.

Founded in 2009; Sujatam Premium a.k.a Sujatam Lifestyle has been in the forefront of Classical Handloom fashion and a speciality in Varanasi Weaves. A believer of Style over Fashion, Grace over Looks and Elegance over Beauty and we are constantly developing the business over this philosophy. Today Sujatam Premium is one address for all handloom lovers.

The Trendmaker

The energy behind the brand and its unique offerings, Mrs. Sujata (Sharma) Mukherjee had founded the corner stones in the year 2009; with a small outlet in Kolkata. With her qualification as a Fashion Designer with specialisation in Banaras textiles, she has created a stream of new age Banarasi textiles that changed the trend in the domain.

Creating a market in the so assumed commoners market, she has been successful to place pure thread banarasi weaves and distinct weaving techniques were also being popularised to a great extent and now almost all the brands are following her traditions in their businesses.

With a great name and success, she has also founded the retail brick and mortar store chain "Indyloom India Pvt Ltd" to make classical Banarasi products more accessible through this chain of stores in India; but that's another story to tell.

The Goalsetter

The current shape and Size of Sujatam Premium Weaves, is all pre conceived and that's none other than Mr. Somenath Mukherjee, the ideating mind behind the brand.

A huge payload of extensive management experience in largest of Corporate giants makes him very focused in building a corporate value system and yet making the culture of the organisation as "human" faced. Always trying out new concepts in Marketing and Communications, introducing new products and finally executing the growth strategy to make the brand as one of the leaders in the category.

Somenath takes care of the Strategy, Finance and Brand for Sujatam Premium Weaves and Spearheads the digital initiatives since 2017 when he finally decided to quit the job and join hands with his better half, Sujata.
